The Local Police of Madrid have arrested a man

in a bar in the Usera neighborhood

for having stabbed another person in order to steal his mobile phone.

According to the police report, to which EL MUNDO has had access, the arrested person, of Dominican origin, was seized with a

dagger with an 18-centimeter blade

, with which he allegedly stabbed the victim, of Colombian nationality.

The events took place around

6:30 p.m. on January 27

at 18 Manuel Muñoz Street in Madrid.

When the police officers arrived, the suspect had tried to hide in the vicinity of the premises and had tried

to get rid of the knife

.

Seeing himself surrounded, the detainee tried to get away from the agents, hitting one of them, causing a

bruise on his knee

. The agents found the knife in a garbage container.

The National Police also attended the scene, as did the emergency services, which assisted the injured man.
