The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the suppression of another attempt by the Kyiv regime to stage a terrorist attack on Russian territory.

“Tonight, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped,” the department said in a statement.

As stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the drone was shot down by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Bryansk region.

“The Kiev regime hopes to stir up interest in the Ukrainian crisis”

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry spoke out about the ongoing terrorist activity of Kyiv on the territory of the Russian Federation. During a media briefing held on January 26, official representative of the department Maria Zakharova said that the collective West is inciting the Kiev regime to new terrorist attacks, continuing to pump Ukraine with weapons and ammunition.

Zakharova recalled the events of January 21, when Kyiv launched a targeted missile and artillery strike on the market and shops in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk. As a result of these events, 27 people died.

In addition, on January 24, Ukrainian troops shot down an Il-76 aircraft of the Russian military transport aviation, on board which were six crew members, three accompanying Russian officers and 65 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel transported for a pre-agreed exchange. They all died.

“By committing such atrocities, the Kiev regime hopes to fuel the fading interest of the world community in the Ukrainian crisis, to encourage its sponsors not only to maintain, but also to increase the volume of financial assistance and arms supplies,” Zakharova said.

The Foreign Ministry representative drew the attention of Western countries to the fact that the processes of further arming Kyiv are out of control.

“Without the financial, material and political support that the Kiev regime receives from abroad, such terrorist acts would not have been carried out,” Zakharova noted.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on all responsible governments and international structures not to stand aside and condemn the terrorist attacks.
