  At the ceremony, Lou Bing, deputy general manager of Hong Kong Dagong Wenhui Media Group, delivered a speech and said that since the launch of the competition, primary and secondary students in Hong Kong have actively participated, and a total of more than a thousand entries from 65 primary and secondary schools have been received.

The students expressed their thoughts directly and boldly imagined, describing their observations, assumptions and prospects about innovative technology and the future world from different angles.

He hopes that everyone will work hard to equip themselves, set sail towards the dream of innovation and technology, and contribute to the development of innovation and technology for the country and Hong Kong in the future.

  Chan Wai-wai, Director of the Information Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said that the purpose of the Hong Kong Youth Essay Competition coincides with the work of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in nurturing young people.

The competition has been held for five times so far and has provided students with a valuable learning platform over the years. The theme of this year's competition is closely related to "innovation and technology", an important engine for the economic development of the country and Hong Kong, and encourages students to have an understanding of this emerging strategic industry.   This essay competition is divided into four groups: junior group, senior group, junior high school group and high school group. Each group has one champion, two runner-ups and two third runner-ups, and a total of 20 merit prizes in the four groups.

  Liu Xinqiao, the champion of the junior high school category from Anglican Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School, delivered a speech as a student representative.

Liu Xinqiao said that the process of writing articles has greatly improved her understanding of national technological innovation.
