Russian authorities said a strike by the Ukrainian army killed one person in Belgorod in the Moscow region. On Friday, Russia launched "a record number of missiles" which, according to Kiev, killed at least 30 people and wounded 160.

A Ukrainian strike on a residential building killed one person in Belgorod and a total of 32 drones were intercepted, including in the Moscow region, the Russian authorities announced on Friday night. In Belgorod, a city near the Ukrainian border, the strike killed one man and wounded four others, said Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov, who said the city's water supply system was also damaged.

Ukrainian drones intercepted by Russia

The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed 13 missiles over the region. He also said that a total of 32 Ukrainian drones had been neutralized in the Bryansk, Kursk and Orel areas, north of the Ukrainian border, as well as Moscow.

Belgorod is 80 km north of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which was heavily hit by Russian forces on Friday morning, according to Ukrainian authorities. In total, at least 30 people were killed and more than 160 wounded in Ukraine on Friday in a vast series of strikes across the country, according to Kyiv.
