According to SVT's reporter on site, at least both people were taken into custody.

There was an agitated atmosphere in the square, which was partially cordoned off. During the actual burning of the Koran, private individuals on site urged people to back away from the cordoned-off area – as did many.

By 13:45 p.m., several people had left the area, according to SVT's reporter. Soon after, Salwan Momika also left the square.

Riots after previous Koran burning

The last time Salwan Momika burned the Koran in Malmö was on September 3 at Värnhemstorget. The atmosphere was rancorous and two people were broken down by police when they tried to force through the roadblocks. Later in the evening, violent riots also broke out in Rosengård, where, among other things, cars were set on fire and several people threw stones at the police.

Also last weekend, Salwan Momika applied to burn the Koran at Rosengård, but his application was rejected.
