Musk's biographer Walter Isaacson told about this in an interview with The Washington Post.
Isaacson said that, according to the entrepreneur, he created Starlink to rest and relax people, and not for this equipment to lead to nuclear war.
"He decided to sell and transfer full control of some of the Starlink equipment, Starlink services to the US military," Isaacson said.
Earlier, Musk called traitors those who criticized his decision not to turn on Starlink satellite Internet for a strike on Crimea.
