A year after Olivia Newton-John's death from cancer at age 73, her spirit is still very much alive. And never better said because her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi (37), and her widower, John Easterling (71), have confessed exclusively to People magazine that in recent months they have had contact with the protagonist of Grease.

"Two weeks after his passing my phone accidentally took a picture of my dog and floating on his head was a small blue orb, the same color as this," says the only descendant of the Australian interpreter while touching an aquamarine pendant that her stepfather gave Olivia in the past.

Mother and daughter used to watch paranormal programs together on the couch in the comfortable living room of their ranch in Santa Ynez (California), where the actress died on August 8, 2022 after three decades of battling breast cancer. The first time he was diagnosed with the disease was in 1992, when everything seemed to have subsided, he reappeared in 2013 and, unfortunately, four years later he was discovered that he had metastases in the sacrum.

Throughout all this time, Olivia Newton-John showed great fortitude, helping patients with the same disease through her eponymous foundation and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Australia and collaborating with a myriad of altruistic causes to raise money for research. Despite his state of health, he used to perform concerts, such as that unforgettable event in which his close friend John Travolta also took the stage to sing You're the One that I Want.

With her husband, John Easterling, in 2016.

For his part, Easterling has also commented that two months ago he traveled to Peru with the ashes of his wife where a private ceremony took place in the same place where they said "yes, I do". That day would have marked their fifteenth wedding anniversary. "I took a picture and that blue orb was right between my eyes," he says as he shows an image of his phone. "It's been a supernatural year," he says.

When Olivia's health worsened dramatically she spent a few days in the hospital, but her husband and daughter decided to take her home to be in a comfortable place. A great lover of nature, the interpreter loved to see from the window the mountains that surround the valley and hear the birds singing. With that soundtrack he died after pronouncing "I love you" to Chloe Rose Lattanzi, who has been trying to make her way in music without success.
