On the second day in the trial of the leaders of the FNDC, the Anti-New Constitution Front and 3rd term for Alpha Condé, prosecutor Babadi Camara asks in his indictment for a suspended sentence with a fine.

«

For public action, Mr. President, you will sentence them each to two years in prison suspended and to the payment each of 20 million Guinean francs in fines. ».

An indictment that increased the tension in the room, especially on the bench of defense lawyers.

«

The whole process against Mr. Foniké Mengué, Mr. Ibrahima Diallo and Mr. Saïkou Yaya Barry is nothing but judicial harassment to silence them simply because they have convictions that are not in line with a political system that has been set up in our country! ", says Halimatou Camara ulcerated.

According to Halimatou Camara, FNDC officials are only denouncing and opposing the abuses of the various powers in place since 2019. "In reality, the fight they were fighting in 2019 is the same fight they are fighting today. This means that we have in place the same political system that wants to attack the rule of law in our country, and that is not acceptable. We will not be silent about the abuses of the State! ».

The lawyers of the civil parties, in complicity with the public prosecutor, did not respond to the accusations of the defense.

«

It is true, it was a right for us to respond, recognizes Me Bernard Saa Millimouno, but rather than demonstrate the ill-founded of our claims, we were entitled to a political forum rather than a demonstration of a criminal nature, which is why we did not consider it useful to respond. "

After this marathon day, the judge reserved the verdict to be delivered Tuesday, June 13.
