Former US President Donald Trump (2017-2021) said Thursday on his social network Truth Social that he has been accused in an investigation into the use of classified documents, but assured that he is an "innocent man".
"I never thought it was possible that something like this could happen to a former president of the United States who received more votes than any other president in the history of our country," Trump wrote today in Truth Social.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Justice Department notified Trump that he was being investigated for keeping classified documents after leaving the White House.
