According to him, if there is a clear position in relation to the PRC and African countries, for which they need to establish peace, then there is a "certain skepticism" with the Vatican because of the position "unequivocally supporting the Ukrainian regime."

Pushilin explained his opinion by the experience already gained in negotiations within the framework of the Minsk agreements.

"The Ukrainian regime is incapable of negotiating... This is their belief, plus this is a position imposed by the Western community," he said.

He explained: this can be seen in the actions of the West, which continues to saturate Ukraine with weapons.

"Alas, it's too early to talk about peace. It is necessary that Ukraine be defeated. I don't see any other way to end the situation yet," Pushilin stressed.

Earlier, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that the leaders of Ukraine were ready for peace with Russia, but refused because of the United States.

According to him, Washington put pressure on Kiev and said not to conduct any negotiations with Moscow.

A spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia needs to bring the special operation to an end, there is no other way.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine depends on the willingness of Kiev and its curators from the West to discuss new geopolitical realities.
