• 06:32: Zelensky hails "results" in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday (June 8th) hailed what he described as "results" achieved in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.

"The fighting is very tough in the Donetsk region," he said in his daily address, delivered after a trip to the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, where he had come to discuss the consequences of the partial destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam.

"However, we are getting results and I am grateful to those who are achieving them. Well done in Bakhmut. Step by step," the Ukrainian president said.
