The forces of the Kyiv regime have launched an offensive in the zone of the special military operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, answering a question from journalists about the situation in the NWO area. At the same time, the head of state stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not achieve their goals.

"We can state for sure that this offensive has begun. This is evidenced by the use of the strategic reserves of the Ukrainian army," Putin said. "In none of the areas of hostilities did the Ukrainian troops achieve the tasks assigned to them. It's absolutely obvious."

According to him, active hostilities have been going on for five days, while in the last two days they have been very intense, but the enemy has not been successful in any of the sections of the contact line.

The head of state noted that this is achieved thanks to the courage and heroism of Russian soldiers, proper command and control of troops and high efficiency of weapons, including modern ones.

"Yes, we still do not have enough of these modern weapons, but the defense industry, the military-industrial complex of the country are developing rapidly, and - I am sure - all the tasks facing the defense industry will certainly be solved. There is an intensive increase in the production of modern types of weapons, "he stressed.

Vladimir Putin also drew attention to the "significant losses" of the Ukrainian troops, which in this case exceed the classical figures during offensive operations (about three to one): "I will not reproduce these figures now, but they are impressive."

"I want to note that this tragedy is due to the events that took place in previous years, and the responsibility for this tragedy lies entirely with the current Kiev regime, whose primary source of power is the coup d'état that took place in Ukraine in 2014," the president added.

When asked by a journalist whether the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had choked, the president replied in the negative. He stated that all the counteroffensive attempts made so far have failed, but the offensive potential of the troops of the Kyiv regime still remains.

"I proceed from the fact that the military leadership of Russia realistically assesses the current situation and will proceed from these realities in building our actions for the near future," Putin concluded.
