"The incidence rate of a new coronavirus infection over the past week per 100 thousand population was 7.3 and decreased by 20.2% compared to the previous week. An increase in the incidence was noted in 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including in three regions more than the national average," the report says.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor said that Russia's economic damage from COVID-19 in 2022 amounted to about 1.6 trillion rubles.

Economic damage means direct medical expenses, indirect losses of the economy and loss of working time in case of death of patients of working age.
