Starovoit posted on the social media "Telegram" that "tonight (the evening of the 1st), a number of Ukrainian drones were shot down by air defense systems near Kursk. We urge the population of Kursk to remain calm, the city is under the reliable protection of our army. ”

According to several Russian "Telegram" channels, explosions were heard over the city of Kursk. Among them, the "Marsh" channel published an unverified video that seemed to show air defense systems firing a missile into the sky.

According to RIA Novosti, Starovoit did not specify whether the downing of the Ukrainian drone caused any damage to people and property.

RIA Novosti said that in recent days, Ukraine has repeatedly launched attacks on Russian territory, including shelling Russian border areas, using drones to strike and attempting sabotage activities.
