The lifeless body of a person has been found by firefighters who were carrying out extinguishing work in the fire caused by a gas explosion in a house on Hernando de Soto Street, in the Badajoz neighborhood of San Fernando, as confirmed by the fire chief of the Municipal Fire Extinguishing Service, Basilio Gonzalez.
As a result of the explosion, which occurred around 15:30 p.m. on Thursday, 16 people have been injured, all of them of a minor nature, including two police officers, two firefighters and neighbors, most affected by anxiety crises, reported the Emergency and Emergency Center 112 of Extremadura.
Police officers have proceeded to evacuate the building and cordon off the area and investigate the causes of the explosion that occurred just when the firefighters were going to force the door of the house afterbeing alerted by a strong smell of gas that came from inside it.
