Start the clip to see former spokesman Gustav Fridolin (MP) remember back to the first politicians' week in Järva – where he was the only party leader in place.

All parliamentary parties have been invited to give speeches to this year's Järvaveckan. All are represented in the program, but three parties choose to send people other than the party leaders: the Sweden Democrats, the Christian Democrats and the Moderates.

– We see it as an opportunity to front our group leader instead, says Oskar Cavalli-Björkman (SD), press officer.

Refers to ongoing NATO process

The Moderates refer to foreign policy:

"As we are now entering the final stages of the Swedish presidency of the EU and are also in the middle of the ongoing NATO process, the Prime Minister is abroad or in other parts of the country for much of that week. Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer will participate in Järvaveckan instead," the Prime Minister's press contact said in a statement.

The Christian Democrats do not state why party leader Ebba Busch refrains from participating, but writes the following to SVT:

"Jakob Forssmed will speak for the Christian Democrats. Based on his position as Minister for Social Affairs, Jakob Forssmed will highlight the work the Government is doing to achieve equal and good health. Jakob Forssmed, who lives in Stockholm County, last spoke at Järvaveckan in 2017.

In the clip below you hear Järvaveckan's founder Ahmed Abdirahman's thoughts that not all party leaders come:
