There are eight employees, four of whom are full-time, or with "major" positions, and a janitor.
– Above all, I feel very sorry for those who have applied and wanted to attend the course and who yesterday received the message that we are not taking in anyone. This is sad for the whole of singing Sweden. It's a fine education that disappears," says Anna Gullman, driving instructor.
The education is two years and well reputed in the opera world. The famous singer Rickard Söderberg is one of the former students.
"We are now working to find a new principal.
Last school year there have been 18 students. Since last spring, no new students have been admitted. Previously, they were 30 per academic year.
Folkuniversitetet has held the education since 2017 and writes that fewer and fewer people are applying for the piano specialization.
