Real estate company SBB plummeted by more than 22 percent. This is after CEO Ilya Batljan's holding company announced on Tuesday evening that interest payments were suspended.

Real estate company Corem also fell, by around 5 percent. In a text message to Dagens Industri, the company's CEO Rutger Arnhult writes that he sees no explanation for it.

On the OMXS30 index with the most traded companies, AstraZeneca goes against the flow and rises by 1.8 percent. The major banks are also trading in the positive, as is Hexagon.

Minus in Asia

In Asia, virtually all major indices declined. The Hong Kong stock exchange closed at minus 1.9 percent and has lost around 20 percent since this year's peak in January.

One reason for the sour mood is new statistics from China, which show weak figures in May for, among other things, the manufacturing industry.

Futures on Wall Street are retreating ahead of the stock market opening.
