The idea for the autobiography has been around for some time, says Charlotte Kalla, but perhaps most when she wrote her previous book "Charlotte Kalla – strength, technology and brow bones" (2017).

"It's been around for much of my skiing career. Maybe especially when I wrote the cross-country skiing book in 2017, that one day I would like to sum up my career, says Charlotte Kalla.

Charlotte Kalla says that the common thread in the book is the title "Shame on the one who gives up".

– How shame can be an asset, but also be what hurts you in periods. It is important to find tools to be able to handle it, says Charlotte Kalla to SVT Västernorrland.
