At the exhibition of creative economy, Putin was told that the Russian market is open for Chinese video games, but Russians are experiencing inconvenience, since developers need licenses from the Chinese government. Just 10-15 licenses a year would be a breath of fresh air.

"We will insert into the negotiation process ... The market is enormous. Not only in China, but in all BRICS countries. Good," Putin replied in a conversation with a representative of the industry, the president's words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

In December last year, Kommersant reported that the Russian government discussed systemic measures to support domestic video games until 2030.

Three scenarios for the development of the video game industry were proposed with funding from $7 billion to $50 billion until 2030, the most ambitious scenario involved the allocation of up to $50 billion, the launch of a Russian rating agency, as well as a 14-fold increase in studios.
