On May 5th, Dongfeng Space City asked Tiange to shine with stars again. Shenzhou 29 crew astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao appeared and met with Chinese and foreign reporters. This is Jing Haipeng's 4th flying trip. Having repeatedly set the record for the highest number of flights in Chinese, he broke his own record again.

This is the first flight mission of China's third batch of astronauts, and it is also the "debut" of the "new members" of China's astronaut team - space flight engineers and payload experts. The picture shows the commander Changjing Haipeng. Photo courtesy of China Manned Space Engineering Office

This time, Jing Haipeng, who served as the commander for the third time, led the Shenzhou 3 mission crew, composed of space pilots, space flight engineers and payload experts, to carry out the first manned mission after China's manned space project entered a new stage of application and development of the space station.

On November 2008, 11, he was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut" and the "Space Merit Medal"; On October 6, 2012, he was awarded the "Second Class Space Merit Medal"; On December 10, 1, he was awarded the "First Class Space Merit Medal"; On July 2016, 12, he was awarded the "Order of Bayi"; On December 26, 2017, he was awarded the title of "Reform Pioneer" and awarded the Reform Pioneer Medal; On November 7, 28, it won the 2018th National Model of Dedication and Dedication... Behind the heavy medals, it is Jing Haipeng's dream of chasing flying again and again.

Make your dreams come true

On January 1998, 1, Jing Haipeng and 5 comrades-in-arms came to the astronaut brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and solemnly swore an oath under the bright five-star red flag, honorably becoming the first batch of reserve astronauts in China.

However, in order to remove the word "preparation", it must undergo strict training and assessment. Within five years, they have completed theories such as aerospace medicine, automatic control, and the basics of manned spaceflight technology, and carried out nearly 5 training tasks in eight categories, including physical training, psychological training, endurance and adaptability training in aerospace environment, aerospace professional and technical training, flight procedure and mission simulation training, and lifesaving and survival training. It can be said that the learning requirements are high, the training subjects are difficult, and the assessment is very cruel, and it may be eliminated at any time.

In those years, Jing Haipeng gave up many hobbies, hardly rested before 12 p.m., did not spend a full weekend with his family, and did not even spend a Spring Festival with his parents. It was this hard work and strict tempering that allowed him to successfully pass the comprehensive assessment and become qualified to perform flight missions.

In 2008, Jing Haipeng was selected as the crew of the Shenzhou 9 mission. At 25:21 on September 10 of the same year, accompanied by the roar of the rocket, the Shenzhou-<> manned spacecraft entered space, and the crew successfully completed China's first space out-of-cabin activity, realizing a major leap in the development of China's space technology.

When astronaut Zhai Zhigang waved the national flag in the vast space, he reported to the motherland and the people: "I have left the capsule and feel good!" As everyone knows, behind the "feel good", they experienced two "accidents": first, Zhai Zhigang took a lot of effort to open the hatch; Second, as soon as the hatch opened, an instrument alarm sound came from the cockpit: "Orbital cabin fire!" ”

At the critical moment, Jing Haipeng, who was returning to the module on duty, quickly checked the major systems of the instrument, and judged and sorted out with Liu Boming located in the orbital module, and at the same time reported to the Beijing Flight Control Center: "Shenzhou 7 report, the instrument shows a fire in the orbital module, please check and confirm on the ground." Later, it was judged by heaven and earth to be a false alarm. But "even if we can't come back, we must let the five-star red flag fly high in space!" The oath still resounds in space.

Beyond dreams

After the complete success of the Shenzhou 7 mission, Jing Haipeng went from incognito to blockbuster, winning flowers, applause and praise from all directions.

"This is the high honor given to us by the party and the people, it is the party and the people who have cultivated us, and it is the motherland that has lifted us to the sky." Jing Haipeng believes that performing tasks is one's own job, and we cannot lie on the merit book and be complacent and resting on our laurels.

Therefore, after the triumph of the mission, the first thing Jing Haipeng did was to zero the results and zero mentality, start everything from scratch, repack and set off again, and return to the best state of always being ready to perform the flying mission.

After recovering physically, Jing Haipeng devoted himself to the preparation training for the Shenzhou 9 mission. The key battle of this mission is to carry out China's first hand-controlled rendezvous and docking, and every astronaut must be proficient in this skill.

Outside of the training plan, he often "plus" for himself, no matter how busy and tired he is at work, he trains for an extra hour every night and half a day every weekend. By the time of the Shenzhou 2000 mission assessment, he had practiced more than <>,<> times in the simulator, which was twice the number and time of the prescribed training.

On June 2012, 6, Jing Haipeng, as the mission commander, successfully entered space with his comrades Liu Wang and Liu Yang on the Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft, successfully completing the first manned rendezvous and docking mission, and achieving another major breakthrough in China's manned spaceflight.

Sublimate dreams

After completing the Shenzhou-9 mission, Jing Haipeng has become China's first astronaut to fly twice. Someone advised him that you have already achieved fame, and you are almost at the age of knowing the destiny of heaven, and the aerospace industry is so risky, there is no need to fight anymore. But he said that as an astronaut, the best way to serve the motherland is to fly, as long as the motherland needs, he will not hesitate to go to space again.

In order to continue to chase his dream of flying into the sky, he consciously studied with his young comrades-in-arms, trained together, endured the overload of 8 G centrifuges together, adhered to the same standards, and even made more efforts until he was successfully selected for the Shenzhou <> mission crew and served as the commander again.

On October 2016, 10, Jing Haipeng led astronaut Chen Dong to fly into space together and flew in orbit for 17 days. During the flight, Jing Haipeng combined his rich flight experience to help Chen Dong quickly adapt to space life. For the first time, Chinese astronauts will stay in orbit and work and live in China's only space laboratory for a month, marking another big step towards the construction of a space station in China's manned space program.

During his time in space, Jing Haipeng was not only a good spacecraft "pilot", but also a good space scientist. Through his own experience, he actively participated in system design, product development and technical research, successfully completed nearly 38 space science experiment tasks, and put forward hundreds of suggestions for improvement, injecting innovative vitality into manned spaceflight and scientific and technological development. In this mission, they also carried out <> scientific experiments such as on-orbit verification of robotic arms and weightless cardiovascular research, providing valuable test data for ground researchers. After the success of the mission, Jing Haipeng became China's first astronaut with three space tours and the longest flight time.

On July 2017, 7, Jing Haipeng was awarded the "August 28st Medal" by the Central Military Commission. In the same year, he was honorably elected as a deputy to the 10th Party Congress. On October 18, as the first representative of the "Party Representative Channel", the reporter asked him: You have already flown three times, will you fly next time?

"I really want to go to space again, be a pioneer again, win another battle, and let the vast space once again witness the absolute loyalty and infinite loyalty of a space fighter to the party and the people!" Jing Haipeng replied firmly.

Innovation dreams

Now, nearly 7 years have passed since the complete success of the Shenzhou 7 mission. In the past <> years, Jing Haipeng's position has changed several times, but he has never forgotten that he is an astronaut.

During his tenure in a certain army department, Jing Haipeng maintained his study habits as always, carried all flight training materials with him, regularly communicated with instructors by telephone, and regularly returned to the team for training and assessment on weekends. He barely slept before 12 p.m. and barely rested on weekends.

If training and courses are delayed due to other work, Jing Haipeng will definitely make up classes and practice more. Even during business trips, Jing Haipeng will carry a "secret weapon" in his suitcase - skipping rope. 600 push-ups, 600 sit-ups, and thousands of jumps became his daily standard; More than 70 manuals, guides, thousands of instructions are already familiar... After years of persistence, Jing Haipeng's physical fitness and flying skills are still excellent.

In June 2022, Jing Haipeng and two newcomers from the third batch of astronauts formed the Shenzhou 6 flight crew to carry out the mission, and Jing Haipeng served as the commander for the third time.

The Shenzhou 2 crew is a new combination, consisting for the first time of three types of astronauts: space pilots, space flight engineers and payload experts. Facing the "intergenerational crew" composed of two teammates who are 20 years younger than him and have no flight experience and experience in the space environment, Jing Haipeng feels a great responsibility. He often said to his two teammates: It's okay, don't be nervous, there is me in the sky!

Shipbuilding is for building a station, and building a station is for application. This is the first flight crew of the space station to enter a new phase of application and development. In this mission, they will undertake more arduous, burdensome, and more sophisticated scientific experiments. Coupled with the long-term flight of the space station, on the one hand, the safety and reliability of the facilities and equipment is tested, and on the other hand, the astronauts' ability to maintain and repair the space station is tested. In view of these characteristics, Jing Haipeng set high standards and strict requirements for the crew during the training process, focusing on operational ability, and drawing inferences from one example.

After more than a year of getting along and training day and night, Jing Haipeng and his two young teammates are also mentors and friends, and they have a very tacit understanding. An expression, movement and eyes, they can understand each other, united like a family. "1+1+1=1", this is also the goal set by Jing Haipeng for the crew.

Despite having three flights of experience, Jing Haipeng considers himself a recruit for the upcoming space station mission.

"We have the determination, confidence and ability to successfully complete the task and turn the painstaking, sweat and wisdom dreams of all scientists into reality with our hands!" Our expectation is that when the time comes, our researchers will be invited to hold teacups, drink tea, watch us do experiments with appreciative eyes, and we will enjoy flying, share results, and share joy together. Regarding this "space business trip", Jing Haipeng said. (End)
