  • 23-J The 'self-deception' of Sánchez with the 28-M: it would be 'saved' thanks to the 'trap' of Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León

The entry of the regional candidates of the PP with Alberto Núñez Feijóo to the headquarters of Genoa has given the measure of the euphoric moment that the 'popular' live after the elections of 28-M. To the rhythm of the version of 'What a Wonderful World' launched by Joey Ramone in 2002, the new barons of the main opposition party have collected a clamorous ovation from the youngest militants of the PP. Already on the second floor, the leaders have replicated the same effusiveness, especially the six who have snatched power from the PSOE in the Valencian Community, Aragon, Extremadura, Cantabria, La Rioja and the Balearic Islands.

In his speech before the National Board of Directors of the PP, Feijóo has been thanking one by one his work to all the candidates, before putting, at point-blank range, in electoral mode. With an eye already set on the 23-J, the PP candidate for the generals has proclaimed that "sanchismo will end in 54 days." "On May 28 we have taken the first step to have a new Government of Spain, and in view of the tsunami that occurred everything seems to indicate that we are going to have it," he judged. "Sanchez wants Spaniards to choose between ballot boxes or holidays, but you have to choose between Sanchez or Spain, and I have no doubt that Spaniards will choose Spain," he insisted.

Of course, Feijóo has warned of the danger that the PP lowers its arms considering that it already has everything done and that the victory will fall by its own weight. "Sanchismo has only one possibility: that we get tired and trust each other. We must not allow it." This has been quite a call to mobilization. "The change has already begun, and I ask you to go and ask people to confirm it and make it concrete," he insisted.

This invocation of vote-by-vote mobilization has been the idea-force of his speech. "The good news," he said ironically, "is that the result of 28-M has already saved the nation as a whole five months of sanchismo. Let's work so that the result of 23-J shelved a government that has too many ministers and lacks dignity. We haven't done it yet."

The PP leader has also referred to local and regional negotiations with Vox, although without expressly citing him. "Spaniards ask us for strong, stable and responsible governments," he said, before calling for "moving forward without blocs." "We deserve better, much better. No one will get the resignation of the Spaniards if we are able to explain to them what we are playing, and no one will be able to take us to a trench," the argument concluded.

On the other hand, Feijóo has put the votes of his party in Navarra at the service "of constitutionalism", to "withdraw Bildu any possibility of government". "I think his climb is a concern for everyone because no one can rule out him competing for the lehendakaritza. " The challenge of stopping them I assume from now on", with a "solid government" that says "no" to Bildu, "in front of whom everything has said yes", he said, referring to Pedro Sánchez.

Finally, Feijóo thanked Citizens, "if it finally confirms its decision", that does not attend the generals. "You have understood this Sunday's message. We cannot let a few votes prevent seats, and a majority. We have a historic opportunity to concentrate the vote in the PP. To all the voters of Cs I say that this reformist house is their home forever."
