A total of 33 migrants have swam the coast of Ceuta from Morocco since early Saturday morning.

According to police sources, the last entry occurred around 13.00 hours on Saturday, and it is two immigrants from Algeria and two others from Syria.

These immigrants, aged between 23 and 28 years, have managed to access through the border breakwater of Tarajal beach, and have been intercepted on the same shore of the beach by the Civil Guard.

The entry of these four immigrants brings to 33 the number of those who have managed to access the city in several groups during this morning.

The first two immigrants entered at 03.30 hours by the beach of Benzú -in waters of the south bay-, 18 more did it at 06.30 hours by the beach of Tarajal and nine of them entered around 10.00 hours to the beach of the Almadraba, the latter two in waters of the south bay of the city.

These are the most numerous entries in a single day registered in Ceuta since May 17 and 18, 2021, when more than 12,000 people accessed through the border breakwater of Tarajal beach.

In these last two years the accesses had been of small groups of between one and three people, most of them also swimming.
