An article in The Wall Street Journal said that British special forces have a "guiding influence" in Ukraine's sabotage operations on the railway, airfields and fuel hubs of Russia.

"The measures taken by the British provide for the dispatch of military products of their own and foreign production to Ukraine, participation in the so-called compensation schemes (allowing the West to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with available weapons), training in the UK, European countries and Ukraine for officers and ratings," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

According to the ministry, London also provides the Ukrainian side with a variety of intelligence, conducts consulting support and, probably, participates in planning, including sabotage operations.

As the ministry recalled, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on October 29, 2022, the British special services had already participated in an attack on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.

"We do not exclude that the British participated in the planning, organization and support of terrorist attacks carried out by the Kiev regime on the territory of Russia, including the provision of intelligence information," the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry noted that Russia reserves the right to take adequate response measures where and when necessary.

It is also noted that all responsibility for the consequences of the destructive activity of the British side lies entirely with the authors and perpetrators of these reckless acts.

"As for the possibility of severing diplomatic relations, this is obviously an extreme measure that cannot be ruled out when taking into account the totality of factors," the ministry said.

Earlier, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit. The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, discussed with him the issues of continuing the training of the Ukrainian military in Britain.
