Regarding President Zelensky of Ukraine visiting Japan last week and attending the G7 Summit in person, Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Sergey Korsunsky gave an interview to NHK in Tokyo on the 26th.

Ambassador Korsunsky first recalled welcoming President Zelensky at Hiroshima Airport, saying, "It was a big challenge for a wartime president to come to a Japan far away, but I thought it would be a great opportunity to call on the leaders of various countries to support Ukraine."

Regarding President Zelensky's visit to the Atomic Bomb Museum in Hiroshima City, he said, "He was very moved by the various exhibits."

In particular, the "Stone of Human Figures" in the exhibits seems to have left a strong impression on President Zelensky, and Ambassador Korsunsky said, "I was very shocked that people were sitting there just before that, but they were blown away by the atomic bomb, and only their shadows are left on the stones."
