The episode (2023/5/25) of the program "Scenarios" highlighted the provocative steps taken by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, the latest of which was holding a session inside a tunnel under the western side of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in commemoration of the 56th anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem, in addition to the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir for the second time since taking office.

The guests of the seminar warned that the provocative steps taken by the Israeli occupation government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu aim to perpetuate the Judaization project and empty the city of Jerusalem of its original inhabitants.

The head of the Jerusalem Anti-Judaization Committee, Nasser al-Hadmi, stressed that the escalatory steps taken by the Israeli occupation government aim to try to resolve the conflict with the Palestinians, believing that it is capable of doing so now.

Al-Hadmi said that the Netanyahu government, which is the most extremist and criminal against the Palestinians, wants to end the conflict by targeting the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem.

The occupation believes that it is meaningless to exist in Palestine – as the head of the Jerusalem Anti-Judaization Commission says – without its full control over Jerusalem, and is troubled by the demographic balance in it, stressing that all its temptations to bring more settlers to it to change the demographic situation did not succeed, because it is the poorest city of the occupation.

Osama al-Saadi, lawyer and former Arab member of the Israeli Knesset, said that Zionism and the ruling establishment in Israel believe that Jerusalem is the eternal and unified capital of Israel and should not be divided, stressing that the Zionist project aims to Judaize the city and try to empty it of its original inhabitants, and therefore the occupation government takes measures against the Palestinians, such as withdrawing IDs.

Al-Saadi added that the occupation is trying to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and divide Al-Aqsa Mosque temporally and spatially, and therefore allows settlers to storm, but despite the passage of 56 years of occupation, Jerusalem is still a Palestinian, Arab, Islamic and Christian city.

On ways to confront Israeli measures, Al-Hadmi stressed that the United Nations should not be relied upon because its previous resolutions against the Palestinian people have not been implemented, but rather on the stability and unity of the Palestinian people alone.

Al-Hadmi regretted the state of the official Arab position, where he is satisfied with meetings and meetings that do not depart from condemnation and denunciation without practical measures.

He called for an Arab, Islamic and international position in support of the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinians, and to exert pressure on the occupation to change its policies.

Warning of Al-Aqsa demolition

Dr. Mohammed Al-Halayqa, former Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister, stressed that the Israeli project to Judaize Jerusalem is clearly defined, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to say by meeting with members of his government in a tunnel under the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque that the land is theirs and underground is theirs, in reference to their alleged temple.

He added that Jordan is very concerned about this situation, and is investing all the tools available to it to confront it, pointing out that the tools at his country's disposal are insufficient to stop the Zionist project and an Arab and Islamic effort is required in this regard.

Al-Halayka warned that Israel will not hesitate to divide the time and space of Al-Aqsa and restrict the residents of Jerusalem and obstruct their access to Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the final stage will be the demolition of the mosque and the construction of the alleged Temple.

It is noteworthy that since Israel occupied the city of Jerusalem in 1967, it has been working hard to control it and change its features in order to Judaize it through many violations and infringements, in an attempt to find a narrative that supports the existence of a history of Jews in the holy city and the end of the Arab presence in it.
