According to the court's online file, Navalny are charged with charges under five articles of the Russian Criminal Code, including the creation of an extremist community.

The full list of charges that have reached the court is as follows.

Navalny are charged with creating and financing an extremist community (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, respectively) and public calls for extremist activities (Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Within the framework of the criminal case, episodes of rehabilitation of Nazism (Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and involvement of minors in criminal antisocial acts (Article 151.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) Navalny proved in the actions.

The latter article may be related to cases where minors were detained at rallies organized by the FBK*.

In the dock, along with Navalny, was the former technical director of the YouTube channel "Navalny Live" Daniel Kholodny - he is charged with two compositions. The investigation proved Kholodny's participation in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and financing of extremist activities (Article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

As RT wrote, in March 2023, Navalny finished familiarizing himself with the case materials, the case was being approved by the prosecutor's office for several months. As RT previously reported, the terrorism and extremism case against Navalny was initiated in October 2022. The "terrorist" composition, according to RT, has been separated into a separate proceeding and will be considered by another court.

According to RT sources, the new charges are partly related to the spring attempts to Navalny provoke so-called anti-war protests. At that time, Navalny, as well as representatives of his entourage, called on activists, among other things, to overthrow the state system and wage an armed struggle against the legitimate authorities.

According to sources, he personally supervised the actions of his supporters.
