After weeks of delivery problems, Axfood – which owns the Willys, Hemköp and Tempo food chains among others – began to fill the store shelves that have been empty around the Mälardalen region on Wednesday and Thursday.

Behind the problems are operational disruptions in the automated warehouse in Bålsta, which Dagens Nyheter and others have reported on.

– We see that many of the measures we have taken have had an effect and that deliveries from the warehouse are now underway. We send 3,000 pallets of dry goods every day to these affected stores, so our goal is to catch up as soon as possible," says Magnus Törnblom, Press Officer at Axfood.

Can be compensated for problems

How much the disruptions have cost in lost sales is not yet known.

Will the stores affected be compensated financially?

"It's a discussion that we have to have, but we'll take it with the stores.
