Around the four tables in the community center, local farmers, LRF, the Swedish Sheep Breeding Association and politicians gathered.

Adam Johansson (M) is chairman of the municipal executive board in Falköping. He promised at the meeting to contact the County Administrative Board after the attack.

County Administrative Board: Not as simple as extended culling

Nelly Grönberg, who is a carnivore officer at the County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland, believes that extended protective hunting is not the solution to the problem of attacks, but instead advocates extended predator fences. Something that you can also apply for grants for from the County Administrative Board.

"We have domestic legislation and also EU legislation that says that Sweden has a responsibility to preserve wolves in a viable population," she says.
