In compulsory schools, there will be a reduction of 500 positions, and according to the municipality, an additional SEK 730 million would be required to maintain the organization as it looks today.

"In order not to have to take any measures such as reducing purchases or staffing down, approximately SEK 730 million must be raised. About 90 percent of this involves own or temporary staff," says Ulrica Johansson, financial manager at the primary school administration in Gothenburg.

Submitted list of signatures

And that's what Thursday's manifestation at Gustav Adolfs torg in Gothenburg was all about. – It is important that we follow up the teachers' collection, I will make sure that we do it. I make sure that it is taken care of and taken seriously, says Milyon Tekle-Haile (S).

The teachers here say that you should be able to reprioritize and give more money to the school, what do you say about that?

– We have a budget to relate to and responsibly budget. We use the money to try to ensure that the educational activities do not take a beating. But we want to see crisis support from the government now for all municipalities.
