José Antonio Carmona, 22 years old from Cordoba, Pedro Payares, 21 from Cádiz and Rebeca García, 18 from Valencia, are three clear examples of how a person can grow in the face of adversity. They are also the three protagonists of the inspiring documentary "Fans of the Real", by Burger King, which follows the daily life of these three young people with intellectual disabilities, showing how sometimes barriers can not only be knocked down, but also used even to gain momentum.

The documentary, which hopes to inspire all those who want to overcome the pre-established limits, is now available on Movistar Plus + and on the YouTube channel @BurgerKingEspana. In addition, this audiovisual piece is part of the homonymous project Fans of the Real, which Burger King created years ago and which has several active initiatives to promote equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity.

During the premiere, which was attended by Rebeca, Pedro and José Antonio along with their families, Gregorio Jiménez, president of Burger King Iberia, was visibly moved. "I am especially proud of this documentary, because the protagonists are the reflection of many people who also seek to improve themselves every day," he added, remarking that it is these types of initiatives that can serve to inspire and help many people.

In addition to their intimate and personal lives, the documentary reflects aspects of the daily life of the protagonists, such as their participation as footballers in LaLiga Genuine Santander, a competition for people with intellectual disabilities unique in the world. Thanks to an agreement between Burger King and LaLiga, some of the players in this competition, as happens to José Antonio, are hired in the brand's restaurants. For Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, this collaboration is achieving "an important step towards equal opportunities in the socio-labor field".

The event was also attended by other well-known faces, such as Adrián Lastra, Vanesa Romero or Lorena Gómez, as well as several of the LaLiga Genuine Santander clubs (Córdoba CF, Cádiz CF, Valencia CF, Fundación Atlético de Madrid, CD Leganés, Fundación Rayo Vallecano or Getafe CF), representatives of associations of physical and intellectual disabilities and the relatives and friends of the protagonists. And there are many personalities committed to integration and equality who did not want to miss it.
