The Czech Republic will purchase Combat Vehicle 90, CV90, from Swedish BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik. The deal has a value of SEK 22 billion, according to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV).

The agreement will also cover intergovernmental cooperation and the integration of Czech industry in the production of the vehicles.

"We welcome another member of the successful CV90 User Group collaboration. When several countries use and develop a system together, it provides great benefits for all users such as increased capability, increased availability, increased opportunities for operational cooperation and all at lower costs", says Joakim Wallin, Head of FMV Export Operations in a written comment.

The Czech Republic becomes the ninth country to purchase Combat Vehicle 90. The vehicle is currently available in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. Sweden has also donated 50 to Ukraine.
