Attention to drones and surveillance cameras

No less than 35,000 police officers will be mobilized on the evening of the opening ceremony alone. And special attention will be paid to drones.

«

The arrival of drones in civilian theaters of operations, since they already exist in theaters of military operations, loaded with explosives for example, is obviously something new for us, says Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior. There were attempted attacks in Spain a few months ago that make us think that this kind of event can give rise to this kind of attack. There are good and bad drones, as philosophers would say. So, we have to fly the good drones, and stop the bad ones.

Law enforcement is already training to neutralize enemy drones. A total of 400 additional cameras will also be installed along the Seine in Paris.
