Dutch parliamentarian and far-right politician Geert Wilders mocked what he said was the rise of Muslims in the Netherlands, adding that watching them pray on the streets of the Netherlands was a denial of the Netherlands' identity.

Wilders, a right-wing politician known for his extremist views against Arabs and Muslims, posted a video on Twitter on Tuesday documenting dozens of Muslims praying inside and outside the Sunni mosque in The Hague in the Netherlands.

Wilders, who is head of the far-right anti-Islam and anti-immigrant Freedom party, captioned the video: "This is the Netherlands in 2023. Masjid al-Sunna in The Hague, our streets are full of Muslim worshippers. The Netherlands is no longer the Netherlands."

This is not the first time Wilders has incited against Muslims, as he has been known for spreading hate messages against them for years, seeking to expel them from the country.

Twitter blocked Wilders' April account last year over a tweet attacking Islam and referring to Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Wilders, who has been under police protection since 2004 after receiving death threats, is a staunch opponent of Islam and immigration to the Netherlands, and actively uses his Twitter account to attack Islamists and migrants seeking asylum.

In 2021, his party pledged in its 2021-2025 election platform to establish a "Ministry of Purification from Islam," define Islam as a "totalitarian ideology," ban mosques and Islamic schools and prevent the spread of Islamic thought through the Koran.

His party's platform also included the implementation of a ban on wearing headscarves in public, the suspension of asylum applications, and the closure of refugee centers.
