Suzhou, 5 May (ZXS) -- Passing through the crowd, Lin Bofeng stopped in front of a display board entitled "Always That Suzhou," staring at the words on it with a thoughtful expression.

The Suzhou Development Conference opened in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on the 21st. Lin Bofeng, chairman of the Taiwan Sansan Enterprise Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "Sansanhui") and chairman of Taiwan Glass Industry Co., Ltd., who was invited to participate in the meeting, was interviewed by a reporter from China News Agency.

"Sansanhui" is an important industrial and commercial organization in Taiwan, the members are all large-scale elite enterprises in Taiwan, there are more than 70 ordinary members, nearly 50 sponsoring members, and more than <>% of the member enterprises have invested in the mainland.

Since the second half of last year, Lin Bofeng has mentioned in many interviews that Taiwan's industrial and commercial circles attach importance to economic and trade exchanges with the mainland and hope to continue to develop in the mainland market. Recently, this wish has finally been realized, and nearly 50 Taiwan businessmen from the "Third Meeting" and the Taiwan Association for the Advancement of Industry and Commerce have visited Jiangsu. Suzhou, which has a large number of Taiwan-funded enterprises, is an important stop.

Lin Bofeng said that due to the epidemic and other factors, cross-strait business circles have been unable to communicate normally in the past few years, and through this visit, he hopes to understand the current development of Taiwan businessmen in Jiangsu, encourage Taiwan businessmen to continue to invest in Jiangsu, and through the strength of Taiwan's business circles, promote substantive communication and exchanges between the Strait Exchange Foundation and the Association for Relations Across the Straits, and contribute the strength of industrial and commercial organizations to ease cross-strait relations. ”

Lin Bofeng also said, "We also hope that Taiwan will open mainland business people and economic and trade groups to visit Taiwan as soon as possible, and we hope to invite mainland friends to visit Taiwan." ”

"The mainland market is absolutely not negligible for Taiwan businessmen." Lin Bofeng believes that Taiwan's own market is small, and in order for Taiwan enterprises to develop and grow, they must rely on the mainland market and cooperate with the mainland.

In the list of the eighth batch of headquarters enterprises in Suzhou announced in December 2022, Taiwan Glass Changjiang Glass Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiwan Glass, is also among them. Lin Bofeng said that the company originally planned to land in Shanghai, because of the conditions of China and Italy in Kunshan, and finally chose to invest in Kunshan. "Over the years, the mainland, Suzhou and Kunshan have continued to develop and progress, and we are very optimistic about the development prospects here." (End)
