That is why environmental awareness and actions that go in favor of our planet are increasingly urgent and necessary. In this sense, food brands can contribute their grain of sand from the same production chain to the final design of the product packaging.

Because, as Anna Lappé, a renowned advocate of sustainable food, says: 'Every time you choose what you buy and eat, you are voting for the kind of world you want'.

Pascual is committed to sustainability with its new milk bottle made 100% from other bottles

Pascual has been part of our homes for more than 50 years. It is very likely that you yourself who are reading this, when opening the refrigerator, will find a product of the brand. An extensive experience that has only reinforced the commitment and responsibility with people and the environment, not only with the result of the final product but throughout the production chain.

The most recent example of this commitment to sustainability is the new Leche Pascual bottle made 100% from other bottles. This gesture makes the brand's new packaging the most sustainable on the market. Thanks to this, the brand will be able to:

  • Reduce its emissions by 28.7%: this means 395,106 kilos of CO per year (this is equivalent to driving more than 58 times around the world).
  • Return to the cycle in 2023 no less than 7.5 million bottles of 1.5 liters, ceasing to use 315 tons of virgin plastic.

Every time we go to a yellow bin to deposit plastic, we are helping to make our planet more sustainable. These bottles are made, exclusively, of so many others that have already ceased to fulfill their function. Why not give them a new life and that the cycle does not end?

And it is that we, as users, can also contribute our grain of sand to make this world a more sustainable planet. Not only acquiring recycled products such as the new Pascual milk bottle, but also trying not to abuse the air conditioning, turning off lights when we do not need them, unplugging cables that are not connected to anything and using energy-efficient appliances.

Pascual's dairy value chain, from farm to fork

Pascual has been committed to the entire dairy value chain for five decades. The company cares about guaranteeing a product of the highest quality from the care of the cows to the new 100% recycled plastic bottle that we can then buy in the supermarket.

That is why, in 2018, Pascual certified all its farms with the Animal Welfare Welfare Quality® seal, the highest European standard for dairy farm evaluations, making the company the first large manufacturer to do so with AENOR. The human factor is also key to providing the necessary value: this translates, for example, into that 85% of farmers who have been working with Pascual for more than 15 years. A day-to-day job, since the brand works continuously developing programs to help them make the business profitable.

This commitment to work is not only sustainable, but also helps to alleviate the problem of emptied Spain: the company grants scholarships to the children of the company's farmers and is concerned with acquiring 100% of the milk with Spanish origin, especially from municipalities that have less than 40,000 inhabitants.

As for the quality of its products, Pascual has managed to maintain a tight control in the use of antibiotics in the field of animal health, guaranteeing articles that are completely safe for human consumption.

All these actions, together with the launch of the new 100% recycled plastic bottle, reveal the company's commitment to continue taking care of the entire value chain, from the producer himself to the consumer who opens his fridge in search of milk.
