Several roads are closed in Övertorneå and residents in Jouksengi, north of Övertorneå, have to take long detours.
On Saturday, it is still possible to drive to Rolf Mattila in Korva – but the amount of water has taken over the farm. One of the neighbors finds it all the more difficult to drive to the house.
"It's a boat route," says Rolf Mattila.
Rising every hour
Parts of the campsite in Övertorneå are also under water and it is expected to rise until Monday. Rolf Mattila himself measures how much it rises and on Saturday it was about two centimetres per hour.
He has emptied supplies and done what he can to secure the house, but the worry makes it difficult to sleep.
