• The gossip of the Salesas The desperate cry of judges, prosecutors and officials: "I charge the hour of guard in the court to 1.79 euros gross"

The Professional Association of the Magistracy (APM), the majority of judges, has announced that on Tuesday it will distance itself from the other six associations and will not sign with Justice the agreement – which includes an increase of 450 euros per month that will apply to the entire judicial and prosecutorial career – because it considers it "insufficient, unworthy and unacceptable" and, In his opinion, "it will hinder the economic capacity of judges for many years."

Tuesday's signing will take place with six of the seven associations of judges and prosecutors. The agreement to be initialled will affect the entire prosecutorial and judicial career, including the APM associates. The signatory associations that called the strike for May 22 have called it off after agreeing to the offer of the Ministry. The APM put it on hold.

The majority association has announced its position in a statement issued this Friday after yesterday, at the end of the fifth meeting of the Remuneration Table, assured that it was still in the negotiation phase, that it did not rule out any scenario and that until the moment of the signing there was "time to bring positions closer".

"The decision we have taken has not been easy, we know that it is a committed decision and, surely, difficult to understand for some, but we have done it from the conviction that it is a disastrous agreement for all of us, which we will regret soon and that deeply and for a long time hurts our remuneration regime, "they have pointed out from the APM.

According to the calculations of the association, the 46.7 million euros contemplated by the agreement with Justice would not translate into 450 euros per month. In this sense, he explained that when prorating the payments the rise would remain between about 377 euros and about 385 euros per month that will be satisfied in three installments. "If we apply a withholding to these amounts," said the APM, the accounts would be different: about 210 euros that he has described as "the 30 silver coins."

"These are the reasons that prevent the Professional Association of the Magistracy from signing this agreement; after 20 years waiting for the convocation of the Remuneration Board, the mere convocation cannot satisfy us; The stunted rise of 6.5% seems outrageous, humiliating and an insult," he said.

Although six of the seven associations have agreed to the proposal, only two of them – Judges for Democracy (JJpD) and the Progressive Union of Prosecutors (UPF), both progressive – have been satisfied with the offer. The other four – Francisco de Vitoria Judicial Association (AJFV), Independent Judicial Forum (FJI), Association of Prosecutors (AF) and Professional and Independent Association of Prosecutors (APIF) – have assured that "the proposal is not at all satisfactory", that it does not fulfill their "legitimate economic demands and that it does not meet the "needs of investment in means of Justice that citizens demand".
