It is understood that the project covers an area of 18000,10 square meters, with an energy storage scale of 20MW/2MWh, and can store 2,<> kWh of electricity in <> hours, which is the world's largest single-machine power and largest energy storage capacity carbon dioxide energy storage project, and the world's first carbon dioxide + flywheel energy storage comprehensive energy station. The relevant person in charge told reporters that carbon dioxide energy storage is a kind of compressed gas energy storage, using carbon dioxide as a circular working fluid for charging and discharging, just like a "super charging treasure".

The professional name of "Supercharger" is compressed carbon dioxide energy storage power station, which works similarly to compressed air energy storage. When it stores electricity, it converts trough (electricity) and abandoned wind photovoltaics into pressure potential energy and heat energy for storage through the compressor; In the power generation phase, the stored heat is heated (high-pressure) carbon dioxide to drive turbine power generation. Because it takes advantage of the characteristics of carbon dioxide at room temperature and easy liquefaction, it has the significant advantages of high energy density and low storage cost.

It is reported that carbon dioxide energy storage not only has a wide range of power levels, capacity and regional adaptability and good economic benefits, but also is safe and stable, zero carbon emissions, and green environmental protection.

The use of carbon dioxide energy storage to generate electric energy, can make up for the shortcomings of clean energy instability, can also be used with traditional thermal power. The reporter learned that during the trough period of electricity consumption, this "super charging treasure" turns on the charging mode, the compressor starts, and the carbon dioxide gas with a volume of 2,25 cubic meters in the huge flexible gas chamber can be compressed into a liquid state in 1 hours, and the volume is only 300/2 of the original; when the peak of electricity consumption arrives, it returns to the gaseous state, and pushes the turbine to generate electricity, and it also takes only 2 hours to generate <>,<> degrees of electricity.

During the peak load period of the power grid, the "super charging treasure" can release the energy collected in the process of power storage, relieve the pressure on the power grid, provide inertia support for the power grid, and escort people's production and life electricity. Taking the on-site 10MW/20MWh demonstration power station as an example, it can generate 60,<> kWh of electricity to provide electricity for <> households for a month.
