"Fuzhou and Matsu are of the same language and the same species, and they are the first stop for our promotion." At the 25th Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Fair (referred to as the "Sea Fair") held in Fuzhou, Chen Hanshu, chairman of Matsu Distillery Industrial Co., Ltd., is eager to open up the sales of Matsu sorghum wine in the mainland. ”

"Drink a river water together, drink a glass of wine together" is also the hope of Matsu County Magistrate Wang Zhongming. At the opening ceremony of the Matsu Pavilion, he toasted with Matsu sorghum wine to the development of cross-strait economic and trade cooperation, "I believe that this opportunity will come soon." ”

At this year's "Sea Fair", Matsu and Fuzhou also held consultations on 12 topics such as water access bridge and Matsu sorghum wine marketing and promotion, and reached a number of consensuses, including the exchange of "Fuma Drinking One River Water Consensus". There is a successful demonstration of water supply from Quanzhou in Fujian Province to Kinmen, and Fuma drinks a river of water, and the future can be expected.

Matsu Pavilion covers an area of 225 square meters, fully demonstrating the traditional settlement style of eastern Fujian. Matsu sorghum wine, Matsu old wine sesame oil noodles, island commemorative cups and other dozens of tourism products and souvenirs are displayed in the exhibition hall. Matsu terns, sika deer, blue tears, and Matsu geological landscapes and other characteristic tourism resources are also displayed in the museum.

This is the first time Matsu has "landed" to participate in the exhibition after the resumption of the "mini three links" between the two sides of the strait, and the exhibitors include representatives of Matsu Distillery, Lin Yihe Workshop, Matsu Biotechnology, Ark Industrial Bank, Longfu Travel Agency and other well-known enterprises in Matsu. In an interview with China News Agency, Wang Zhongming said that he looks forward to expanding the mainland market for local Matsu enterprises through this exhibition, enhancing the popularity of Matsu tourism specialties, and attracting more mainland tourists to Matsu for sightseeing.

The family of the "post-80s" Matsu youth Cao Liren is mostly engaged in the wine industry, but he has a soft spot for coffee. "I went to the mainland at the age of 28 to work hard and worked as a Taiwanese beer agent in Shandong, Hubei, Shanghai and other places." Cao Liren told reporters that in 2021, he resolutely gave up his career for many years and came to Fuzhou to cooperate with friends to run a boutique coffee shop.

At Cao Liren's booth, an Ethiopian coffee with a long flavor and Matsu sorghum wine was fragrant in the Matsu Pavilion. Coinciding with the boom in coffee consumption in Fuzhou in recent years, Cao Liren is currently planning to open a second branch.

Chen Meiying, who is engaged in integrated marketing of culture and creativity, came to Fuzhou for the first time to participate in the exhibition, and after getting off the plane, she was busy tasting Fuzhou delicacies such as fish balls, meat swallows, and Buddha jumping over the wall. She brought innovative Matsu delicacies such as old wine noodles, sorghum tofu milk, old wine milk tea, cocoa sorghum popcorn, etc., which also attracted many visitors to stop and taste at the "Sea Fair".

"I've been busy since early in the morning until now, and I didn't expect to attract so many people, and everyone said that the things I brought tasted special." Chen Meiying told reporters that this gave her confidence in expanding the mainland market.

Through the "Sea Fair" platform, Matsu travel operators actively seek ways to cooperate with their counterparts in the mainland to jointly promote Matsu tourism. This time to participate in the "Sea Fair", Matsu travel operators launched "two days and one night south and north pole card hoofing" and "north and south pole dongju nostalgic style tour" and other tourism routes.

Wang Zhongming also frequently recommends Matsu sightseeing tours. He said that the four villages and five islands of Matsu contain rich natural landscapes, architectural styles, cultural customs with eastern Fujian characteristics, and the fantastic scenery of blue tears and square sea wonders.

"Not only that, the diversified tourism resources, ecological beauty, seasonal activities, sports events, as well as delicious liquor and local delicacies, are unforgettable in a lifetime." Wang Zhongming said that the Matsu people are hospitable, kind and warm, and welcome Lu guests to Matsu "Kadai" (Fuzhou dialect, meaning "play"). (End)
