According to him, Russia is on the verge of global leadership in the educational environment: the country has formed a multi-level education system that does not depend on Western ratings and projects.

"We blocked all the influence within the country of various supposedly educational areas of work under the auspices of Soros, created an assessment of the quality of education, which shows the real picture and allows us to achieve progressive results. They are starting to take revenge on us," TASS quoted Kravtsov as saying.

The US Treasury Department previously announced the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions against 46 individuals, including the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova and the head of the Ministry of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov.

Also, the US Department of Commerce imposed export restrictions on 71 companies from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
