For something to count as a criminal attempt, there must be a danger that the crime will be completed.
"That's what this court case is about. If they committed an attempted weapons offense.
She explains that there may be a plan at the core, but that you can have little "bad luck" as a criminal.
"For example, I can plan to break into the museum in Umeå to steal a very famous and expensive painting. But before I can strike, this board is moved. Basically, I had a good plan, but now I was a bit unlucky.
And a bad crime plan is exactly what the current HD case is about, says Ann Lundgren.
