It is not often that private matters remain private in the case of public figures. Especially with a person like Boris Johnson, who was British Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022 and caused scandal after scandal.

When his wife Carrie Johnson made her pregnancy public on Instagram, the result was a certain amount of confusion. Sure, Carrie is pregnant with their third child. But otherwise?

When British media report on the happiness of the Johnsons, it is said that the Conservative politician has at least five more children. Four already grown-ups with ex-wife Marina Wheeler, as well as a daughter born in 2009 from an affair.

A thank you to "all my children"

However, it is not excluded that there are others. Johnson himself also seems to have lost track – or is deliberately playing with the number: He thanked "all my children," he said in his resignation speech last September.

This prompted the British »Independent« to publish an entire article about it: »How many children does Boris Johnson have?«. It diplomatically states that Johnson has more experience as a parent than his current wife.

Carrie Johnson now speaks of a team in her post on Instagram. The new "member" will arrive in a few weeks, the 35-year-old wrote. I've often felt pretty exhausted over the past eight months, but we can't wait to say hello to the little one."

Johnson is likely to have more time for the newborn than in Downing Street. However, after his resignation as a result of several scandals, he continues to sit in parliament and wants to run again in 2024.
