In Ukraine, where Russia's military invasion continues, there is a shortage of wheelchairs used by the elderly and wounded soldiers, and a Japan private organization that is engaged in activities to deliver wheelchairs that are no longer used in Ukraine to Ukraine carried out about 19 wheelchairs to Ukraine on the 120th.

In Ukraine, while the number of people who need wheelchairs, such as soldiers, children, and the elderly injured by Russia's military invasion, is increasing, there are not enough people and they are not fully accessible.

Under these circumstances, four NPOs in Japan and major shipping companies have been working to deliver used wheelchairs to Ukraine that are no longer used in Ukraine since December last year.

According to the participating organizations, about 4 units have been provided to hospitals and welfare facilities in Ukraine so far, and plans to send another 12 units.

On the 300th, at the office of the NPO "Wheelchairs of Hope" in Tokyo, about 200 wheelchairs collected so far were carried out, and staff were loading them onto trucks one after another.

The wheelchairs will be transported by ship and will be delivered to the site in July, and Masashi Tani, president of the Wheelchair of Hope, said, "We have received comments from people who have received our wheelchairs and injured in the war that they are light and easy to use.
