As expected, the president of Aragon has taken advantage of his participation in a PSOE rally with Pedro Sánchez this Thursday in Zaragoza to publicly express his opposition to EH Bildu being a parliamentary partner of the coalition government. "The vast majority of Aragonese, with me at the head, think that with the heirs of the terrorist group there is no need to have any relationship," said Javier Lambán.

However, he has immediately diverted the focus to the PP, who has said that it is "abject, miserable, obscene and immoral the use it makes" of the victims of ETA. "Especially by a party that has sometimes agreed with the heirs of the terrorist group and that at a certain moment Mr. [José María] Aznar dared to call ETA a national liberation battalion, Basque liberation movement or something similar," he added.

After it transpired that the abertzale formation had included in its electoral candidacies of the Basque Country and Navarra 44 convicted of terrorism -seven of them for murders-, Lambán was the first socialist baron who raised his voice: "For me EH Bildu can include in its lists whoever it wants. But the PSOE must break any kind of relationship with a political force that includes murderers in its lists."

This Thursday, before the secretary general of his party, has not been so crystal clear.
