Media manager from the Netherlands Derk Sauer became the director of the Dozhd TV channel

At the disposal of RT were the reporting documents of the new legal entity "Rain" *, registered in the Netherlands. It follows from them that the well-known media manager, founder of the Independent Media publishing house, Derk Sauer, took the position of director of the TV channel. Previously, Saeuer's name has already appeared among the largest sponsors and lobbyists for the continuation of the work of the media structure in the EU countries, but there was no information about his direct participation in the management of the asset.

As follows from the reporting documents posted in the commercial register of the Netherlands, on December 6, 2022, a new legal entity representing the Dozhd TV channel in Europe was registered - TVR Studios BV. The minimum threshold amount of €1,<> is indicated as the authorized capital.

The document also outlines the activities that TVR Studios BV will be engaged in: "Independent and objective coverage of all major events in Russia, including the broadcast of daily news in Russia, the production and broadcast of original programs and the dissemination of news about Russia - including through channels, cable broadcasting, Internet streaming, mobile applications and Smart TV."

Derk Sauer appears in the document in the status of the director of the TV channel, the sole owner is Natalia Sindeeva **.

According to an RT source surrounded by Sindeeva, at the moment a complete reformatting of broadcasting and the relocation of Dozhd to the Netherlands have already been completed.

Activities at the TV channel's studio in Tbilisi have been frozen, the studio in Riga has been closed - all employees have moved to Amsterdam.

At the same time, according to RT sources, the real investor and actual owner of the new media project is Sauer, who plans in the future to receive funding from the European Union for the broadcasting of Dozhd as one of the mouthpieces of the anti-Russian agenda.

As RT reported earlier, the management of the Dozhd TV channel considered options for formally dividing the media into different legal entities in order to continue broadcasting from studios in Tbilisi and Amsterdam.

Problems with the work of Dozhd in the Baltic States began after the scandal with the dismissal of presenter Alexei Korostelev and the cancellation of the license for broadcasting Dozhd by the National Council for Electronic Media of Latvia.
