Changsha, May 5 (Zhongxin.com) -- The 12 Xiang-Taiwan Intellectual Property Protection and Application Exchange Activity with the theme of "Intellectual Property Rights for High-quality Development" was held at the headquarters of the Science Park (R&D) of Central South University on the 2023th, aiming to help Taiwan-funded enterprises develop with high-quality development in Hunan with intellectual property rights in the new era. At the meeting, Central South University released a list of patent open licenses for Taiwan-funded enterprises in Xiang, including more than 12 high-value patents in the industries involved in Taiwanese enterprises in Xiang.
Innovation is the primary driving force for development, protecting intellectual property rights is protecting innovation, and promoting the use of intellectual property is to transform creativity into productivity. In recent years, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee has actively cooperated with the Provincial Higher People's Court, the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation (Provincial Intellectual Property Office), Central South University and other units to explore and solve the key, difficult and hot issues of Taiwan-funded enterprises in the field of intellectual property protection, build a platform for escorting the rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots in Hunan and help Taiwan enterprises develop with high quality in Hunan and Taiwan enterprises.

Pan Jiebo, deputy director of the Taiwan Work Office of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee, said that through the establishment of the "Hunan and Taiwan Intellectual Property Protection and Application Platform", the "Hunan Province Taiwan-related Trial Judges' Studio", the "Mainland Business Legal Environment Lecture Hall" and the "Taiwan-related Economic Work Policy and Business Training Course" and other activities, Hunan actively supports and helps Taiwan enterprises and Taiwan compatriots to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, encourages Taiwan enterprises and Taiwan compatriots to give full play to the advantages and roles of intellectual property rights in high-quality development, and creates a good environment for the development of Taiwan enterprises and Taiwan compatriots in Xiang.
Jiang Jianxiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central South University, said that as the first provincial-level Taiwan-related intellectual property protection and application platform in China, the Xiangtai intellectual property protection and application platform has always been aimed at promoting scientific and technological innovation and promoting integrated development in Xiangtai, building a new platform for cooperation and exchange between Xiangtai and Taiwan, integrating intellectual property rights, technology docking, talent exchange, business incubation, industry-university-research cooperation and other functions, and striving to provide service support in intellectual property protection and application for Taiwanese youth, Taiwan-funded enterprises, and Taiwanese students in colleges and universities in Xiang. Effectively promote the in-depth docking of innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain and talent chain between Xiangtai and Taiwan.
At the exchange activities, experts gave keynote speeches on topics such as "Current Situation and Thinking of Intellectual Property Protection in Hunan and Taiwan", "Practice of Intellectual Property Transformation and Application of Enterprises in Hunan Province", "Practice and Enlightenment of Patent Protection of Taiwan-funded Enterprises", and actively provided suggestions for intellectual property to promote the integrated development of Hunan and Taiwan. Three scientific research teams from Central South University conducted roadshows of scientific and technological achievements projects, and conducted in-depth exchanges with Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwanese entrepreneurial youths participating in the conference.
Du Junyi, general manager of Hunan Fuli Zhenjin Home Textile Co., Ltd., a Taiwan-funded enterprise, also shared the cases of intellectual property protection and application in the process of the development and growth of Hunan Province. He said that the success of the two intellectual property rights protection actions has enabled enterprises to increase investment in design and development, brand building and intellectual property protection, which not only consolidates the competitiveness of enterprises, but also gives enterprises the opportunity to expand their business fields, thereby strengthening their belief in sustainable development in Xiang.
It is reported that this exchange and docking activity allowed Taiwan enterprises and Taiwanese youth in Hunan Province to have close contact with experts and scholars and patent achievements in universities in Hunan Province, creating a good environment for intellectual property protection and promoting the integrated development of innovation in Hunan and Taiwan. In the future, the Xiangtai Intellectual Property Protection and Application Platform will further strengthen service capacity building, open up more channels for exchanges and cooperation between Xiangtai and Taiwan, and strive to write a new chapter in the integrated development of intellectual property between Xiangtai and Xiangtai.
