After a successful second stage of leg surgery, Prilepin was put into a medication sleep

It is noted that the doctors successfully performed the second stage of the operation to fix bone fragments in order to ensure their firm fixation until complete fusion.

"Zakhar Prilepin's condition is stable, at the moment he has been put into medication sleep for a smooth exit from anesthesia," the press service said.

Also, the doctors decided to leave Prilepin in the intensive care unit for the coming days so that he could recover from the operation as soon as possible.

Prilepin's car was blown up in the Nizhny Novgorod region on May 6. The UK qualified the incident as a terrorist attack.

On May 8, the Semenovsky District Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region arrested Alexander Permyakov, accused of attempting to assassinate Prilepin, acting on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services.
