The National Police has deployed an operation for a bomb warning received at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), sources from the Ministry of Health of the Principality have informed EFE.
After the notice received late on Wednesday night, the protocol provided by the State Security Forces and Bodies in which professionals from the hospital are collaborating is being applied, the same sources added.
One of the first measures that have been taken is to reduce the pressure on the HUCA Emergency Department through 112, from where patients are being referred to other health resources.
The president of the Principality, Adrián Barbón, has sent a message of "tranquility and calm" through his profiles on social networks.
"At the moment, the State Security Forces and their specialized services are working. We will act in accordance with their indications and recommendations, "said the head of the Asturian Executive.
