After a bee or wasp sting, the sting must be removed immediately. The best way to do this is with tweezers. If none is available, you can also use your fingernails. It is necessary to pay attention to the poisonous bubble at the end of the sting. If you damage them, the poison can flow into the puncture site and cause severe pain. Therefore, always remove the poisonous sting from the side and not from above.

To prevent infection by germs, the wound should first be cleaned with water and washed thoroughly. Next, dry and disinfect the sting. This is followed by the fight against itching.

Pain relief after bee or wasp sting: cold or heat can help

There are two options here: relieve the pain by cold or heat. Both variants help in the treatment. Pressing a cool pack or ice cubes wrapped in a cloth onto the sting reduces blood flow to the skin. As a result, the pain decreases. Refrigerate the area until the swelling subsides and the itching decreases.

A sting can also be treated with heat. To do this, simply buy a heat pencil at the pharmacy and press it on the affected area. The heat prevents the pain from spreading.

In the case of a sting in the oral cavity, it is necessary to hurry.
